Biography

Dr Beatrice Ombaka is a senior lecturer in the school of Business department of Human Resources Development where she has been a faculty member since 2015.She is the Head of Department of Human Resource Development since march 2023.Her area of specialization is strategic management. Dr Ombaka completed her Ph.D in Business Administration majoring in Strategic management at the University of Nairobi and her masters in Business administration at the same institution. Her undergraduate degree is in Business administration (Human Resources Management) and is a Registered Nurse from the Cecily Mcdonel School of Nursing (Nairobi Hospital).

Dr Ombaka is a seasoned lecturer in higher education and an avid researcher. She has excellent report writing skills. She has published widely and attended conferences where she has presented findings of her research. Dr Ombaka is a member of Kenya Universities Quality Assurance Network (KUQAN), member of Association for Faculty Enrichment in Learning and Teaching (AFELT) and a full member of Kenya Institute of Management. Her research interests are in the area of Strategic Management, Innovation, Human Resources, health communication and Ethics in Research.
