Professor Josphat Kamau Kinyanjui is an Associate Professor in the School of Pure and Applied Sciences, Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science at the Karatina University, Kenya where he has been a faculty member since 2008. He is currently the Ag. Dean, School of Nursing and Public Health from 2019 to date and has also been the Dean, School of Pure and Applied Sciences from 2010 to March 2019.
Professor Kinyanjui completed his Ph.D. at Moi University, Kenya in 2007, Master of Philosophy degree at Moi University, Kenya in 1995, Master of Science in Applied Statistics at Limburg’s Universitair Centrum, Diepenbeek, Belgium in 2000, Master of Science in Biostatistics at Limburg’s Universitair Centrum, Diepenbeek, Belgium in 2001 and his undergraduate studies at Moi University, Kenya. His research interests lie in the area Response Surface Designs, Optimal Designs, Survival Analysis and Longitudinal Data Analysis. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of Statistics.
Professor Kinyanjui has participated and presented papers in several conferences, seminars and workshops nationally and internationally. He has published widely in the areas of: Optimal Designs, Response Surface Designs, Survival Analysis, Time Series Analysis and Longitudinal Data Analysis. He has served as an external examiner to several universities in Kenya and participated in several community outreach programs.
