Biography

Dr.Ben K Chesoo, holds a Ph.D., in Animal Physiology and M.Sc.in Animal Production, from the University of Eldoret. He did his B.Sc. in Animal Production at Egerton University, Diploma in Agriculture in Bukura Agricultural College and Certificate in Range management in Ahiti-Kabete, Kenya). Is an Animal Physiology and Production Scientist. He Lectures Post-graduate and Undergraduate courses on Adjunct basis in the Department of Agricultural Sciences in the School of Agriculture and Biotechnology, at Karatina University. Has attracted Two research grants (NRF-NACOSTI: 2019/2020; and ARG (University of Eldoret:2019/2020); Calls, respectively. His areas of interest in research includes: Animal Physiology, Breeding and Production and has published more than 8 papers in referred journals and authored a book (Characteristics and Growth Performance of Kuchi Indigenous Chicken. LAP Publishing.ISBN/978-3-659-91966-4) .He has served as a Livestock Production Officer for over 30 years with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. He has reviewed several Manuscripts for referred journals His additional national and contribution in the area of Animal Sciences includes; Member of The Animal Production Society of Kenya and the Agricultural Show Society of Kenya; and the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA); which is an apex continental organization responsible for coordinating and advocating for agricultural research for development (AR4D).
