Lucy Wanjira Ndegwa, (Ph. D.) is an Associate Professor of Educational Communication and Technology in the Department of Education, School of Education and Social Sciences, Karatina University. She has a Ph.D. in Educational Communication and Technology (Moi University) Her selected work experience at Karatina University includes teaching, supervision, and examination of both undergraduate and postgraduate students, research, and dissemination of research findings on Education, as well as developing demand driven Teacher Education programmes for Secondary and University levels. Some of the national and international research she has engaged in as a senior researcher include: Early Grade Mathematics Assessment Baseline Study- Ministry of Education, Kenya and CBM End Term Evaluation- Seeing is Believing (East Africa).
She is a member of several professional bodies including the Organization of Social Sciences Research in Eastern and Southern Africa and the Kenya Non-Fiction and Academic Authors Association. She is currently the Dean of the School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS). As Dean, her responsibilities include coordinating Departments in the School; representing the School in the University; liaising with national, regional, and international organizations/institutions and other stakeholders in Education. With her wide knowledge and experience, Prof. Ndegwa believes that learning takes place in enabling environments supported by technology.
